THE PNG Civil and Identity Registry Office (PNGCIR) in the Nation’s capital will be closed for half day—08:00 AM-12:00 PM on Wednesday 18th March, 2020.
The purpose of the closure is for the Management and Staff to have an awareness meeting to prepare for the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) outbreak.
Offices open at 01:00 PM.
The COVID-19 was declared a Global Public Health Emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 30th January 2020.
It is now a matter of WHEN COVID-19 will reach the shores of PNG. Therefore, it is our responsibility as an agency to prepare in advance for it.
