Remember, Village Names Braces Your Identity.

PNG Civil and Identity Registry is encouraging the people of Papua New Guinea to use their village names when registering for NID.

How do our names shape our identities? Do they help answer the question, “Who am I?”—or, “Who are we as a tribe of a thousand language?” Often, names connect us to our family, to our language, and to our traditions. They contain very subtle references to our history, and place of origin.

Remember, village names braces your identity.
